FREEDOM 50 MALLORCA TOUR
4th - 8th October 2025
4th - 8th October 2025
Northern Mallorca is full of iconic rides, which has made the island as famous for cycling as it is today. From Formentor Lighthouse to the Sa Calobra climb, there's a plethora of routes to be explored!
Using our hotel in Alcudia as a base, we will take you on a stunning exploration of this cycling paradise, giving you the opportunity to challenge yourself on the climbs and explore the picturesque backroads - plus we'll make sure you have plenty of fun along the way.
We have included a sample itinerary below, however, please note this is subject to change based on weather and group requests. There will be a choice of rides available each day to accommodate a mixed ability group.
We'll welcome you into the hotel in Alcudia and get your acquainted with your bikes.
After lunch we'll take a short warm up ride to get the legs moving and familiarise you with your surroundings! We'll head out down the coast, before turning inland into the lanes over to the pretty beach town of Cala St Vincent. This is a great spot for a coffee overlooking the sea, before we return to Alcudia via some picturesque backroads
The longer ride takes us out into the foothills of the Tramuntana mountain range to take on some of the smaller climbs - we'll ride out via the scenic Mallorcan backroads and camis (lanes) and enjoy lunch in Alaro before making our way back to Alcudia.
The shorter ride takes us towards the centre of the island, to the town of Sineu. Our route takes us on a combination of fast roads and smaller camis as we snake our way through the undulating terrain. Sineu is a market town, and we'll have lunch at a cafe in the square. We'll also have the opportunity to test our legs on the track, which is located on the outskirts of the town
The climb everyone comes to the island to do! We head out from Alcudia round the bay towards Pollenca then tackle our first climb of the day, the Col de Femenia (c.8km). After coffee, we continue through 10km of undulating terrain along the mountain roads towards the top of the Sa Calobra climb. Here you can look down and see the road twisting and turning below you and witness what's in store! From here we descend down to the town of Sa Calobra before starting our challenging 10km ascent back out!
We'll retrace our steps to Alcudia via a similar route, enjoying the descent from the mountains via the Col de Femenia, arguably the best descent in Mallorca.
The shorter ride option takes in the Col de sa Batalla climb (c.8km climb), a beautiful climb through a stunning gorge, and returns to Alcudia via the Col de Femenia descent - an event in itself!
Formentor is one of Mallorca's best known routes, with panoramic views of the coast to enjoy as the road twists and turns out towards the lighthouse. The views are simply breathtaking. The road starts with a 3km climb out of Puerto Pollenca before reaching a stunning lookout over the bay. Here you can catch your breath before continuing on down a few hairpins, through a tree-covered road out to the coast. The route then tracks along the edge of the cliffs before reaching the famous lighthouse at the end.
We return the way we came and enjoy a final lunch in Port de Pollenca.
You'll be well supported during your tour - you'll be provided with information on the route and what to expect each day, and our guides will be on hand to provide navigation and mechanical support during the rides. All you'll have to think about is riding your bike and having a good time!
